The Perth Wildcats are one of the few NBL teams doing a fantastic job of marketing themselves through new media, in what could otherwise be tough times for basketball coverage in Australia. Their latest offering, a “freestyle in the jungle” by players Stephen Weigh, Kevin Lisch and Brad Robbins, is probably intended to appeal to a young, hip audience. The video (below) shows the boys stripped down and sweating away as they show off some freestyle moves to a funky drum beat. I have a feeling that the video will have a stronger following with the ladies than the lads however…
