So, here we have it. At the conclusion of the Gold Coast Blaze’s 82-78 victory over the Perth Wildcats, a scuffle broke out between a few players, which became an all-in “kerfuffle”. There was a bit of conjecture via twitter as to what happened in that situation, immediately after the event. But now we have the footage to analyse exactly what took place.
It appears that James Harvey and Chris Goulding were celebrating at mid-court after a hard-fought win and the Wildcats players, in particular Stephen Weigh, took it as offensive. I don’t think this situation requires any intervention from the NBL — it was in the heat of battle and no punches appear to have been thrown. Take a look.
