No, the title isn’t a direct quote from Greg Oden, but that’s what I hope he is thinking after having his proper coming out party in the NBA versus the New Orleans Hornets last night. Being the humble soul that he is, Oden will likely be most disappointed that the Blazers didn’t get the win over the Hornets, but he did have some personally satisfying performances in his 11 point, 11 rebound, 4 block night. Once again coming off the bench, the big guy logged only 24 minutes to achieve his double-double and is clearly getting into the swing of things a bit more.

Here are two highlights of the game, showing his ability at both ends of the floor:

 Dunk on Hilton Armstrong

Monster Block on David West

Obviously this is only the beginning for the centre and he is finding his way in the NBA game. However it is good to see him coming off the bench with less pressure on him to pick up the game too quickly. He has another chance to shine tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves and their prized rookie big man, Kevin Love. Check out TWolves Blog for what they have to say on the game.
