Inspired by the great, unrelenting and indefatiguable work of NESW Sports, here is a new series entitled “Do You Remember…?” This series will bring up old videos which hark back to an era when basketball was still innocent in my head and hopefully yours.
First up today, we have a commercial for Skybox NBA Series 2 Trading Cards. This was back in the day when trading cards were about to hit their peak of popularity — when everyone was selling their big brother’s baseball jacket to buy packets. Where did they fall in popularity? Somewhere between MJ’s first retirement and Shawn Kemp becoming a blimp, I’d say.
