So the Chicago Bulls have made a trade — and it does not include the much-discussed Tyrus Thomas. This from Yahoo! Sports:
With less than 24 hours remaining before Thursday’s trade deadline, the Sacramento Kings reached a tentative agreement with the Chicago Bulls on a deal that would ship Brad Miller and John Salmons to the Bulls for a package that includes Drew Gooden and Andres Nocioni.
Miller, of course, started his career with the Bulls. I think Chicago have made very well out of this trade on a talent level.
According to the article, there were several other offers available to the Kings, including from the New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks.
Interestingly, the Portland Trail Blazers continue to feature in hot rumours:
The Milwaukee Bucks have told teams they’re closer to moving Richard Jefferson to the Portland Trail Blazers for a package that includes Travis Outlaw and Raef LaFrentz, one Eastern Conference executive said.
I would not be adverse to this for the Blazers. I would probably prefer to see Gerald Wallace come in if possible, but Richard Jefferson is probably a safer option in terms of injury risk.
Amar’e Stoudemire trade rumours continue to swirl.
