Back before Jon Koncak signed his big payday and before His Airness won his first NBA title, artistry and flamboyance was well and truly alive in the league. There were not as many players equipped with a licence to throw it down at will (Larry Nance and Julius Erving were part of an exclusive club), but players showed amazing skill below the rim — and generally without the accompanying brash bravado that we see in today’s youtube era.
