After LeBron James submitted a petition to change his jersey number, Adam Morrison became worried he’d no longer be able to wear the #6 that he has sported since being traded to the Lakers. Morrison is clearly confused by what the petition means, and thinks LeBron has requested to be the only player league wide to ever wear #6 ever again.
“This is insulting!” said an outraged Morrison. “I can’t believe the league would allow one player to get his way like that. ‘Oh, I’m LeBron James, I can do whatever I want. I’m important. Look at me.’ Well, I’m not having it.”
The angry Morrison then made several phone calls, berating each and every person he called until finally seeming calm after ending the last conversation.
“I finally got in touch with LeBron James and told him how irritated I was that he’d steal my number from me like that,” said Morrison. “He tried to act like he didn’t know what I was talking about, and said I could still wear it, but I wasn’t letting him off the hook that easily. Then he said he’d make me a deal for the #6 if I’d just leave him alone.”
Morrison finally admitted that he’d be willing to part with #6 as long as he could score an autographed #6 LeBron James jersey or maybe that cool puppet from the Nike commercials.
