Nike have just released a new commercial, revealing how they get the Air they put in their shoes. In fact, it comes directly from the respiratory systems of their athletes. Shock, right?
Brandon Roy, Maria Sharapova, John McEnroe, Carl Lewis, Troy Polamula, Paul Rodriguez and Paula Radcliffe are among the athletes graciously donating their air to make you a better athlete through their Nike Air Max shoes. Who says that athletes don’t give back?
I’m guessing that all that air from those athletes is what makes Nike shoes so expensive. And perhaps that explains why Stephon Marbury was able to market his shoes so cheaply — he has so much hot air to go around, better to make shoes than put it to waste.
By the end of one of those sessions, these athletes are going to need some of this stuff that Rudy Tomjanovich is flogging.
