Some teams just get all of the bad luck. You have to feel for the Portland Trail Blazers and Joel Przybilla, as the big man has just been injured in the Blazers’ game against the Dallas Mavericks.
UPDATE: The injury has been reported by the Blazers medical staff as a ruptured right patella tendon and right patella dislocation for Przybilla.
As you can see, the injury occurred in the first quarter and appeared to be the result of banging knees with Erick Dampier before coming down awkwardly and hyper-extending his knee, putting all of his weight down on it. It looked painful and Przybilla’s cries could be heard across the court — likely a combination of physical and emotional pain.

More to come as information on the injury becomes available.
