NBL Quarter Final action is currently under way with the 5th placed Townsville Crocodiles taking on the 4th placed Perth Wildcats. Times like these I wish I had some way other than following online updates to keep up with the game.
Unswayed, I continue to hit “refresh” on the live updates through the NBL website here.
And true to his recent form, JR, John Rillie is actually “On Fire!” He has clearly saved his best for the money end of the season, as he has put up 23 points so far, with three minutes remaining in the third quarter. He leads all scorers and the Crocs are surprising the Wildcats by holding the lead — as they have done throughout the whole match.
Update: JR is now up to 31 points at three-quarter time, including 9/14 from long range! He is 10/17 from the field and 2/2 from the charity stripe — displaying some vintage JR form.
Without a team to follow (after the collapse of my Sydney Kings and the Spirit’s failure to make the Finals), the Crocs have become my team and I’m willing them on to a win here. However, if Rillie keeps this up, they won’t need any of my well wishes.
