Ron Artest is an absolute goldmine for NBA media. He's almost heaven-sent. As a personality, I really admire the guy, as he appears to be totally genuine and fairly honest. He's real. Artest is also incredibly amusing, as this two-part interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, attests to. In addition, scroll down farther below for Ron Ron's reaction the following day in the locker room when questioned about the appearance. Apparently, it wasn't him.

Yeah man... Ron Artest really is a cool guy. I have limited experience, but... I did a photo gig at some video game party, and the people there were Shaq, Stoudemire & Artest. Shaq was as you'd expect him - charming the crowd & kinda' disengaged, Stoudemire was walking around like he was the king, and Artest was just truly down to earth and very nice.

I think he's just generally a really passionate guy, and (like you said) just ends up giving the media stuff to talk about.

I, for one, am glad he's at the lake show. Get some of that passion to rub off on the young guys.
